Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park was officially dedicated on September 18-20, 1895. It is the oldest and largest Civil War Park.  There are about 1,400 monuments and historical markers on the battlefields.

The Incline Railway opened on November 16, 1895. Lookout Mountain Incline Railway is one of the steepest passenger railways in the world. The Incline Railway climbs at a 72.7% grade straight up the mountain and is approximately one mile.

Rock City is located atop of Lookout Mountain with the most spectacular views including Lover's Leap. From the top of Lookout Mountain you can see seven states. Rock City offers some of the most beautiful gardens with over 400 different native plant species. There are several natural wonders at Rock City from the 1000-ton Balanced Rock and the Fat Man's Squeeze and massive ancient rock formations.

Ruby Falls is 145-foot underground waterfall located in Lookout Mountain. It is America's deepest commercial cave and largest underground waterfall. The Falls are located at the end of the main passage of Ruby Falls Cave, in a large vertical shaft. The stream, 1120 feet underground, is fed both by rainwater and natural springs. Visit Ruby Falls and descend 260 feet into historic Lookout Mountain by elevator.

The Tennessee Aquarium is located in Chattanooga, TN.  It takes you on a journey through two buildings where you will see otters, turtles, alligators, giant catfish, seahorses and other freshwater wonders.  There is also an IMAX movie theater which has a six-story screen and state of the art sound system. The Tennessee Aquarium is home to more than 12,000 animals representing almost 800 species.
