Civic Center Garage
Regular Rates: First hour free, $1/hr each additional hour ($10/day)
The Civic Center Garage is largest city garage with 550 spaces and located at 87 Haywood Street.  It is behind the Buncombe County Public Library off of  Haywood Street, adjacent to Vanderbilt Apts. and the U.S. Cellular Center. There are two entrances to this garage, one entrance off of Haywood St between the library and the Vanderbilt Apts., and the other off of Rankin Ave at the rear of the garage.

 

Rankin Avenue Garage
Regular Rates: First hour free, $1/hr each additional hour ($10/day)
The Rankin Avenue Garage, with 262 spaces, is located between Haywood Street and Rankin Avenue just north of College Street. There are two entrances, one off of Walnut Street and the other off of Rankin Avenue.  If this garage is full, please note that the Civic Center Garage often has space available when the Rankin Avenue Garage does not.

 

Wall Street Garage
Regular Rates: First hour free, $1/hr each additional hour ($10/day)
The Wall Street Garage has 232 spaces and is located off Otis Street between Wall Street and Battery Park Avenue, immediately across the street from the Grove Arcade.  The entrance to this garage is on Otis Street.

 

Biltmore Avenue Garage
Regular Rates: First hour free, $1/hr each additional hour ($10/day)
The Biltmore Avenue Garage is located under the Aloft Hotel on Biltmore Avenue.  This garage has 404 spaces total, but due to its connection with the hotel these spaces may go as low as 289 spaces available depending on the hotel’s occupancy.  The entrances for this garage are located on Biltmore Avenue (southbound traffic only) and South Lexington Avenue.

 

College Street Garage
Regular Rates: $1/hr every hour ($8/day)
The College Street Garage has 650 available spaces. It is located across the street from the Buncombe County Courthouse on College Street. The entrance is located on College St (westbound traffic only).

 

Metered Parking Spaces

There are more than 700 on-street metered spaces in downtown Asheville. All meters are for short term parking (two hours or less, as marked) at a cost of $1.25 per hour. All meters accept coins only. You can also pay for on-street metered parking with a credit or debit card via Passport Parking by following the instructions listed on the parking meters. The metered spaces are enforced from 8:00a to 6:00p, Monday through Saturday.

Note: Parking in the Central Business District is allowed only where indicated by signs or street markings.
